Here’s a drink that was common about 100 years ago!

Makes about 1 1/2 quarts

Ingredients
  • 6 cups cold water
  • 1/3 cup maple syrup
  • 1/5 cup molasses
  • 1/4 cup cider vinegar
  • Freshly squeezed juice of 1 lemon, plus lemon slices for garnish
  • 2 tablespoons grated ginger root
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds

Instructions

Measure all of the ingredients into a pitcher or a jug and stir until well blended.  Best served chilled.
